Building on almost three decades of financial experience, I focus on helping blended families, single parents, and all generations develop their specific financial strategy. My particular expertise in working with veterans, federal employees, and those in the medical industry. By addressing their financial concerns and effectively structuring their resources, I help them develop incremental plans for now and their future.
I lost my daddy when I was 7, so I totally understand the demands and stresses put on single parents to raise a family. Though the $10,000 from whole life insurance momma received was a substantial amount for a beautician in the '60s, it wasn't nearly enough to properly prepare for the future. So, she had a room built on the back of the house to set up her beauty shop. This way she could continue to work and be a devoted mother which is typical in the Appalachian Mountains in upper East Tennessee.
I served our Nation as a United States Marine and as a United States Army Officer. It was during these years I developed a passion for helping others with their finances, including obtaining loans, preparing financial statements, and advising on preparing tax returns.
Learning in the Government
I was medically separated from the U.S. Army in 1998 due to injuries sustained during Operation Desert Storm. I went back to work for 'Uncle Sam' as a civilian working as a civil engineer. My government work life culminated as the Command Engineer for the US Army Combined Arms Command at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas in 2014.
After the military and during my years as a civilian government employee, I continued helping associates, friends and family with their financial and life planning. In 2016 I started this company and in 2019 I established The Jamison Edward Group.
