Accredited Investment Fiduciary®
Building on more than two decades of financial experience, Ed Taylor focuses on helping Generations X & Y, Millennials, blended families (his, hers and ours) and single parents with their financial needs. He has particular expertise in working with state and federal employees, entrepreneurs and those in the medical field. By addressing their financial issues and effectively structuring their resources, he helps individuals and families develop a incremental plans for now and their future.
Ed lost his father at age seven, so he understands the demands and stresses put on single parents to raise a family when the primary income is lost. Though the $10,000 from whole life insurance his mother received was a substantial amount for blue-collar family in the 1960s, it wasn't nearly enough to properly prepare for the future.
Serving his Country in the Military
Ed served our nation as a United States Marine. He was also an officer in the United States Army in Iraq during Desert Storm and at Camp Castle in South Korea. During his military career, Ed served at Paris Island, S.C.; Camp Lejeune, N.C.; Fort Belvoir, VA; Fort Benning, GA; Fort Bliss, TX; Fort Leavenworth, KS; and the Presidio of San Francisco, CA.
It was during his years in the military that Ed developed a passion for helping others in his charge with their finances, including obtaining loans, preparing financial statements, and advising on preparing tax returns.
Gaining Experience in the Federal Government
Ed was medically separated from the U.S. Army as a Captain in the Corps of Engineers in 1998. Ed subsequently retired from the Department of the Army as a federal civil servant with his career culminating as the Command Engineer for the Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth in Kansas.
After the military and during his tenure as a civilian working for the federal government as an engineer, he continued helping associates, friends and family with their financial and life planning.

Ed’s specialized knowledge of the federal government provides individuals and families a resource that can smoothly integrate private and public sector retirement planning into a singular comprehensive plan.
He was also associated with the podiatry medical industry for 14 years, gaining expertise with writing successful business plans, practice-funding strategies and office operations.
Ed’s insight into continuity and succession planning ensures each area of financial planning is reviewed and goals are established so families can look to their future with confidence and a feeling of security.
